Foster + Partners has revealed these designs for the £175m redevelopment of the Nou Camp stadium in Spain, home to Barcelona football club, which will increase its capacity from 98,000 to 106,000.

Inspired by “trencadis”, the mosaic style used by Antoni Gaudí, the stadium’s exterior will be made of polycarbonate and glass panels that change colour at night. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2009 and end by 2012.
