This £9m scheme at the RAF museum in Cosford, near Wolverhampton, holds the world’s first display on the cold war.

Designed by architect Feilden Clegg Bradley, the building demonstrates the conflict between the two sides with two fractured triangular volumes. Run-off rainwater is collected in a reservoir around the building and used to flush the toilets. The contractor was Galliford Try and the M&E and environmental engineer was Max Fordham.
