The Sophi Taylor Building (pictured) at the National Institute of Agricultural Botany is among more than 50 buildings nominated for the 2015 BREEAM awards for the most sustainable buildings.

The awards, which are set to take place alongside Ecobuild in March, will recognise the most sustainable office, healthcare, retail, industrial education and mixed-use buildings certified in 2014.

The winners will be selected by a judging panel including architect Bill Gething; Claudine Blamey, head of stewardship at the Crown Estate; and Building’s technical editor Thomas Lane.

Gavin Dunn, director of BREEAM at the Building Research Establishment, said the shortlists contained “an extraordinary variety of inspirational buildings”.
