The Balornick Bowling Club in north Glasgow is one of 29 prize winners in this year's Civic Trust awards.
Designed by Studio Kap Architects, the bowling club was praised as "community architecture at its best". This year's awards focus on UK cities. Special awards went to a public square next to Belfast Cathedral designed by the Paul Hogarth Company, the refurbishment of Broadway Theatre in Barking, east London, by Tim Foster Architects and the conversion of a historic corn mill in Newcastle.
