Developer First Base has gained planning permission for this 645-home mixed-use scheme on the site of the former Greenwich district hospital in south-east London.

Working in partnership with regeneration agency English Partnerships, the developer will build a public square, two swimming pools and a community hub as well as the homes, half of which will be affordable. The Heart of East Greenwich scheme was designed by Make Architects, Arup and Lovejoy, and forms part of the government’s London-Wide Initiative.
