HM Treasury

  • Chancellor of the Exchequer – The Rt Hon George Osborne MP
  • Chief Secretary to the Treasury – The Rt Hon Danny Alexander MP
  • Exchequer Secretary – David Gauke MP

  • Financial Secretary – The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP - Former planning minister Greg Clark appointed financial secretary to the Treasury – and keeps cities ministerial brief; replaces Mark Hoban who has been moved to the Department of Work and Pensions
  • Commercial Secretary – Paul Deighton, an investment banker and chief executive of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Locog) is given a peerage and joins the Treasury team in charge of economic delivery and infrastructure. He is expected to head up the replacement PFI scheme and the government’s new UK Guarantee scheme (replaces Lord Sassoon in January 2013)
  • Economic Secretary – Sajid Javid MP

  • Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, and President of the Board of Trade – The Rt Hon Dr Vincent Cable MP
  • Minister of State (Minister for Universities and Science) – The Rt Hon David Willetts MP
