Ian Simpson Architects’ Owen Street development has been given the green light by Manchester council.

The scheme, for West Properties, has five towers between 13 and 49 storeys, a river-front walkway and gardens. The plans provide for 1,094 apartments, a 209-bed hotel, shops and a leisure facility. Construction is expected to start in November 2008.
