Specialist in commercial thermostatic mixer taps Douglas Delabie has upgraded its Temposoft tap and mixer range to give water savings of up to 84% compared with traditional basin taps.

Called Tempoft 2, the tap is designed for intensive use in public places and offers a flow rate of 3 litres a minute. The tap is a time flow type and the company says the new tap requires 2kg of pressure to operate compared with 6kg for the standard model making it easier to operate by the very young, old or disabled.

It also features a reinforced fixing which prevents tap swivel and the cartridge filters, non-return valves and filters are accessible without removing the mixer, simplifying maintenance.
