Bowmer & Kirkland, Durkan Pudelek and Thomas Fish are on list of nine firms accused by OFT of being involved in compensation payments

Balfour Beatty subsidiary Mansell has been joined by two other major firms in being accused of being involved in the “cash for bids” element of the OFT inquiry.

It is understood that £819m turnover Bowmer & Kirkland and £34m turnover Durkan Pudelek are also among the nine firms accused of making or receiving “compensation payments,” where losing bidders who have provided cover prices for a deal receive money from the winner.

Thomas Fish, the regional contractor which went into administration last week, is also understood to be on the list of those facing the allegations.

Durkan Pudelek declined to comment. Bowmer & Kirkland and Thomas Fish were unavailable for comment.
