To your health: This 25,000 m2 wing for King's College Hospital in south London is due to be handed over next week. The seven-storey building was designed by Nightingale Associates, and has a curved curtain wall and an ETFE-shaded atrium. The PFI consortium that built it, including Sodexho, Skanska and Costain, will run it for the next 38 years. The wing will house outpatients and women's departments. Owen Williams Partnership was the structural engineer, Zisman Bowyer & Partners services engineer and Haden Young the services contractor.
