Tony Bevan, a partner in EC Harris and former managing director of Bucknall Group, died suddenly last week.
A funeral for Bevan, 47, who joined EC Harris in April 2000, was held in the Midlands on Tuesday. He died on Sunday 1 September.

Bevan was a well known figure in the QS sector and the West Midlands region. Before he was managing director of Bucknall Group, he did stints at Frost Bevan Partnership and Bond Foster and Partners.

Bevan stayed on at Citex after the firm bought Bucknall Group for £15.4m in 1999, and specialised in the defence sector before moving over to EC Harris in 2000. His most recent post was overseeing project management for the firm.

He leaves a wife, Joyce, and two children – Nicola, 20, and Mark, 19.

EC Harris chairman Richard Clare paid tribute to Bevan. He said: "Tony was very much a people person, developing long-term relationships with many people at all levels throughout the industry."
