Design practice will study ways of improving access to Poplar DLR station

Planning and design practice, Urban Initiatives, has been appointed to carry out a study on behalf of Docklands Light Railway.

The study is to find out ways that access can be improved to Poplar DLR station and how the service can be made more user-friendly for local residents.

Jon Tricker, associate director at Urban Initiatives said: “We’re going to be preparing design solutions for Poplar station and its access routes working with John McAslan & Partners, Intelligent Space Partnership and Castle Hayes Pursey. We want to achieve a step change in the quality of walking routed from stations to residential areas, to encourage wider public use of the DLR.”
