consultant Citex has lost director Stephen Lee to one of its biggest clients.
Corporate development director Lee, who has been with the firm for 20 years, leaves next week to join property company Brixton Estate. He will become head of Brixton's customer services management.
Lee said the opportunity at Brixton was too good to miss. "There are not many ways a person in my position could leave a company positively, but by joining a firm Citex has so much contact with, it can be done. There was no way I could leave Citex to join a competitor." Brixton is one of Citex's five biggest clients.
Citex chief executive Oliver Jones said Lee's departure to Brixton was a natural development of partnering arrangements between the companies and was a step in cementing Citex's relationship with a long-standing customer.
Citex, formerly called Bucknall Group, was floated in 1988 but delisted in 1998 when it was taken over. Lee will retain a shareholding in the company.
