Developers Merepark and Ballymore Properties have submitted plans for a £160m mixed-use shopping, residential and leisure scheme on vacant land behind Liverpool Central Station


Architect Woods Bagot designed the 60,000 m2 project, which will be known as Central Village. The scheme will include a three- or four-star hotel and a 38-storey residential tower. If planning permission is granted, work will begin in early summer 2006.
