Contractor is to build 177 homes in the latest phase of the £200m Stockwell Park regeneration scheme
Wates Living Space Homes has been appointed to deliver a £48m residential development in Stockwell, south London, on behalf of Network Homes.
The contractor is expected to begin on Thrayle House this month, which is the latest phase in Network Homes’ £200m Stockwell Park regeneration programme.
Thrayle House will provide 177 new homes, 81 of which will be available for social rent, including 41 for families and 40 homes designed specifically for active elderly people. The remaining 96 homes will be available for private sale.
Designed by PRP Architects, the new development is also set to comprise 1,358 sq m. of flexible retail and community space.
The project adds to Wates Living Space Homes’ work on behalf of Network Homes, which recently saw the completion and hand over of Park Heights, a 20-storey apartment building in Stockwell.
Vicky Savage, executive director of development at Network Homes, said: “This is a landmark project in the regeneration of the Stockwell Park Estate and one that is incredibly important to Network Homes, the residents and the local community. We really look forward to working with Wates Living Space Homes who will bring their significant expertise and resources to this project.”
Joanne Jamieson, managing director at Wates Living Space Homes, csaid: “Our role as developer at Thrayle House builds on our strengthening relationship with Network Homes and our continued role in the transformation of the Stockwell Park Estate.
“We wholeheartedly share in Network Homes’ ambitious vision for this regeneration scheme, to create high quality and high specification homes for local people, whilst bringing extensive benefit to the local community.”
