Kier had been carrying out the deal since 2009 alongside local firm Berneslai Homes, the council’s housing company responsible for managing 18,500 homes on its behalf.

Wates will be asked to carry out planned maintenance, gas servicing and electrical work.

The deal starts at the beginning of next month.
