English Partnerships choses Westbury as its preferred developer on 6.82 ha housing renewal scheme in Telford.
National regeneration agency English Partnerships has chosen Westbury as its preferred developer on a housing renewal scheme in Telford, Shropshire.
The development, situated on a 6.82 ha brownfield site, will include 176 homes integrated with healthcare, leisure and retail facilities. A separate multi-purpose centre will provide training and employment opportunities, alongside local services.
Westbury deputy chief executive Nigel Fee said: “This provides another example of our ability to work in partnership with the public sector to demonstrate our combined dedication to sustainable Urban Design. Westbury is committed to the Telford area and we welcome the opportunity to work with the community and the other project partners to deliver a much improved quality of life for local residents.”
This development forms part of a wider regeneration programme for the area that involves around 3000 homes. The programme is being delivered through the Woodside Project, made up of English Partnerships, the Borough of Telford and Wrekin, Advantage West Midlands, the Wrekin Housing Trust and the Housing Corporation, along with representatives from the local community.
