The Building Centre opened an exhibition this week that pays homage to underground infrastructure work in London.

Underground: London's Hidden Infrastructure includes photographs, such as this one of a tunnel boring machine, which was used on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Other projects include the £16bn Crossrail scheme, the redevelopment of St Pancras station and the Thames Tideway, a 24ft-wide sewer overflow system.
