Maverick architect enters jelly competition for London Festival of Architecture
This is Will Alsop’s entry into a competition for architects to design jelly moulds.
The competition will culminate in a “jelly feast” at the London Festival of Architecture.
The winning entries will be rendered in jelly by specialist caterers Bompas & Parr, and eaten at an “architecutural jelly banquet” at University College London on 4 July.
Organisers promise performers wearing “vast jelly costumes”; “wobbling soundscapes and projections” and “over 1,000 specially commissioned jellies”.
Architects now have until Wednesday 28 May to enter designs into the competition.
