The cream of the housebuilding industry was recognised at the Building Homes Quality Awards on Wednesday
Willmott Dixon and Countryside have won the top honours at this year's Building Homes Quality Awards. Willmott Dixon won Social Housing Provider of the Year and Countryside lifted the trophy for Private Sector Quality Housebuilder of the Year.

A new award sponsored by Channel 4 4Homes was won by Berkeley Homes. In this category people using the Channel 4 4Homes web site were asked to vote for the home they thought had most kerb appeal. The Awards were presented last Wednesday at Le Meridien Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Private Sector Quality Housebuilder of the Year sponsored by Trus Joist, Countryside;

Best Training/People Development Award sponsored by NHBC, Countryside;

Best Customer Satisfaction Improvement Strategy sponsored by Finnforest UK, affordable sector trophy: Willmott Dixon Private sector trophy: Miller Homes;

Best New Homes Agent sponsored by Property Week, DTZ Residential;

Best Options and Choices Initiative sponsored by Housing Today, Affordable sector trophy: Higgins Construction Private sector trophy: Laing Homes;

Best Land, Planning and Regeneration Strategy sponsored by English Partnerships, Southdale Homes/Kirklees Metropolitan Council;

Best Company-wide Sustainability Strategy sponsored by Thermalite: St George;
