The first of three new wings of the Cleveland Museum of Art in Ohio opened last month
The east wing by Rafael Viñoly Architects connects the 1916 building to the 1971 education annexe. The new elements of the museum will be built around the original 1916 building. Some later additions will be demolished to make way for an indoor piazza.
