WSP continues expansion into sourthern hemisphere after it snaps up low-energy environmental consultant Lincolne Scotte Group
WSP has acquired Australian engineering and environmental consultancy Lincolne Scotte Group for an initial consideration of £9.8m.
The acquisition is the latest step in WSP’s expansion in the southern hemisphere, following its acquisition last week of LC Consulting, a specialist structural engineering consultant based in Johannesburg.
Lincolne Scotte Group (LSG) has 11 offices across Australia and the Asia Pacific, employing 440 staff. The company was involved in Australia’s first 6-star and 5-star green buildings, and also worked on the design of Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station development.
Chris Cole, WSP chief executive, said: “With the inexorable move towards a low-carbon market, Lincolne Scotte’s world-leading expertise will significantly increase our capacity to deliver successful projects incorporating commercially affordable, environmentally responsible solutions."
