The National Housing Federation is to launch a leadership programme to help registered social landlord managers become senior executives.

The programme, devised with Lancaster University, is scheduled to begin next April.

Jane Greenoak, director of corporate services at the NHF, said: “It aims to provide better leaders for the sector, giving them the confidence and understanding to become leaders in their field.

“It will offer training for those currently at the second or third level of management but who want to become chief executives or directors.”

The NHF will hold a steering committee meeting early next month to draw up details of the course.

The programme will last for more than one year and offer tuition to 25 to 30 participants.
