A 24-camera dome system that includes some novel operational features has been installed by Quadrant Video Systems, supplying the town of Witney in Oxfordshire with a private fibre-optic network to distribute its CCTV images.
Designed to help prevent a variety of crime, the scheme was completed in just 12 weeks with a capital cost of £75,000 for the private fibre network. Quadrant also designed and installed the control room, which employs Synectics’ Tesseract video matrix system and X250 keyboards that can switch and control any camera to any spot, or video wall monitor.

It also uses Synectics’ Synergy 2 TFT touch screen user interface that has been ergonomically angled at 45 degrees.
