Diligent work by the security team at Coventry City Council's high-tech Communications Centre has resulted in National Security Inspectorate (NSI) accreditation for the Centre's monitoring of intruder, fire and personal alarm services in Coventry and across the UK.
The centre was built in 1999 to monitor the thousands of emergency calls received each year. Its security team is also tasked with monitoring over 100 security cameras throughout Coventry, operating a telephone call centre and managing city-wide patrols.
Communications Centre manager Bernard Jefferies told SMT: "We hope that more firms will begin to recognise the importance of protecting their premises and staff from vandalism and crime."
