Commenting on the deal, chief executive Dai Prichard told SMT: "For some time now, the directors of Resolution have been seeking a like-minded partner capable of building upon the high grade guarding business we've established. OCS has convinced us they understand what's special about Resolution, and we're now looking forward to developing the business as part of a larger group with an annual turnover of £500 million."
Prichard, operations director Dougie Blackford and managing director Martin Rackshaw will all remain with the company as part of OCS Security.
Richard Fenton-Jones added: "This isn't simply a merger of two companies. It's also the joining together of similar cultures that will provide mutual benefits for both companies and our client base. OCS will now be able to gain a stronger presence in London and the Thames Valley region, while Resolution will derive strength from being part of a company that offers security on a national basis."
OCS is now able to provide VIP protection services, corporate investigation services and electronic de-bugging solutions in addition to its existing manned security and security systems solutions.
