    How he got there:
24 years in the marines, I decided to move over to housing, where I started out as service agreement and development manager for Bromley council. My role included managing change and introducing systems to deal with new legislation and budget limits. I also negotiated with community agencies and began a liaison group of south London boroughs for a joint-buying strategy. “From Bromley I joined East Thames Housing Group where I was assistant director and head of housing and support. I was responsible for restructuring the support and care arm of the community care department, to enhance the organisation’s services. I was also in charge of new business, budgets, contracts and all supported housing management at East Thames.”
