Synectics, the manufacturer of CCTV video matrix, control and digital recording equipment, has expanded its customer support team with the appointment of a new internal sales co-ordinator.
Scott England has been appointed to act as first line of support.
Scott has been hired to provide a fast-track response to any sales or technical sales related issues. His role encompasses across the board sales administration activities, including sales order and quote processing, and loan equipment scheduling.
Synectics sales director Phil Longley commented: "Scott's new key role will help to ensure that Synectics' customers will experience a fast and efficient response when dealing with us."
Export growth
Gus MacDonald has been appointed as the new export manager for Honeywell Security's Intruder Division. He brings many years of experience in export sales, as well as a background in security. Gus has joined Honeywell to develop existing and new sales channels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the Galaxy control panel range.
In the past three years the export market has grown to account for a significant proportion of the business turnover and in the last 12 months, export sales have increased substantially.
MacDonald is also responsible for the Galant range, plus the full complement of peripherals supporting wired and wireless systems and various keypad options for increased flexibility.
Out of Africa
Keith Royston has joined the Crown Axxess team as general manager. He comes to the UK off the back of ten years as regional manager of Centurion's Durban, South Africa branch.
During his time there Keith developed an extensive technical knowledge of the Centurion product which enabled him to generate 40 per cent annual growth each year, making Durban Centurion's most successful franchise to date.
He commented: "I am looking forward to the new challenges of the UK gate automation market, as I believe it is a strong market with great potential."
Quadrant gives Moore
National CCTV and access control systems installer Quadrant Video Systems has announced a new senior appointment.
Reflecting Quadrant's growth and commitment to securing an increasing share in the supply of high quality integrated systems, the internal promotion sees Ian Moore appointed as sales director.
Moore commented: "Our next phase of growth will involve delivering our acknowledged brand of professional consultation, systems design, project management, quality installation and after-sales maintenance service to a broader range of market sectors."
Going for growth
Blue Rock Security, provider of commercial and retail security, is going for growth with the appointment of Rod Lambert as an account director. With 15 years experience of selling in the security industry in companies such as Sensormatic and Checkpoint, Lambert commented: "Blue Rock Security already has some excellent blue chip clients, but I am looking forward to the challenge of expanding this still further.
"I am used to creating multi-million pound accounts and I aim to continue this at Blue Rock."
Northern sales manager
Miwa Lock Co has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Steve King as Northern area sales manager.
King will be primarily responsible for promoting Miwa's AL5H dual technology smart lock to the hotel and education markets.
Appointed to cover market demand, and operating to cover Northern England and Scotland, he brings great experience of the security market to his new post.
He was previously a security sales specialist with NT Security, responsible for the sales and installation of a range of access control products, alarms systems and fully networked analogue and digital CCTV systems.
Coming on stream
Chris Koetsier has joined Honeywell Security as CCTV stream leader, and will be based at the company's UK headquarters at Runcorn. He has a wealth of CCTV knowledge, most recently working as a sales manager for Honeywell-Ultrak in South Africa. In this role he nearly doubled Ultrak's sales there in two years.
He also led the Ultrak integration to Honeywell and made the number of product variations offered more manageable while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Koetsier's role will be to coordinate CCTV activities across the organisation and to develop an international plan to grow the CCTV business.
New MD for Reliance
Nigel Forbes has been appointed managing director of Reliance Security Services. He was previously MD of the Business and Industry Division of catering and support services provider, Sodexco.
