Barry Thompson (right), previously director of finance at Severn Vale Housing, has been appointed director of finance at Forest of Dean Housing.

Peter Gilroy

Peter Gilroy is the new chief executive of Kent council.

He joined the council from East Sussex in 1991, taking over as social services director seven years ago. The council said he had taken Kent social services to a top three-star-rated service for innovations and improvements in client care.

Moat Housing

Chris Harris (right) is Moat Housing Group’s new regional director for the east region, while Sally Buckley has joined as senior development manager for the London region.

Tim Fallon

Tim Fallon, formerly chief executive of Christian Alliance housing association, is the new chief executive for disability specialist John Grooms Housing Association.

He will start in May 2005.

He replaces David Harmer, who is retiring in April after 14 years at John Grooms.
