Developer Urban Splash announced a bumper profits rise of 52% in its annual report published this week.

The Manchester-based firm, whose schemes include the city’s New Islington millennium community project (pictured), made profits of £6.3m last year. Building work began this week on the site’s affordable homes, some of which will be owned by Manchester Methodist Housing Association.
