ADT Fire and Security bosses, anxious to help orphans in the former Communist Romania, have supplied a £6,000 fire alarm system to the Breaza Orphanage.
The system was transported by Convoy 2000, a registered charity set up by the Metropolitan Police.
The orphanage, which looks after 200 mentally disabled children, had not received aid in nine years and was in an extremely poor condition.
Convoy 2000 contacted ADT's Sunbury branch for the donation. Said GM at the branch, Bob Duggin: "As soon as we heard what the children were going through at this orphanage ,we were determined to help. The fire alarm system will help to ensue these children will live in a safe environment."
