Out with the old: Housing Corporation chair Baroness Dean visits a development in the Higher Openshaw area of Manchester. The corporation gave £5.5m to the scheme, which bought and demolished 142 obsolete properties to make way for 130 new houses and bungalows. The scheme is part of a regeneration programme by the corporation, Mosscare Housing, Manchester council and residents.
