Speaking from the Tavistock Square office last Friday EC Harris chairman Richard Clare said: “I am the only person here – it is a very harrowing place to be. It is eerily quiet as I look around – there are normally so many people in here and in the square outside. The police are still outside just now removing body parts.
“The bus exploded right outside our office – it is a miracle that no-one from EC Harris was hurt.
“I have been overwhelmed by the number of calls and texts that I’ve received from all over the world. 150 texts alone. There is an amazing feeling of mutual support from all over the world that echoes what our political leaders have been saying about standing united against terrorism.
“I have been contacted by staff in other offices, clients. It is extremely reassuring to know that people are thinking of us.”
