Hardware manufacturer Paddock Fabrications has purchased Millenco Hardware Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of high security hardware products.

Paddock’s Managing Director Richard Harvey said: ‘Door and window manufacturers are becoming increasingly demanding on hardware suppliers, with expectations of higher specifications, longer guarantees and shorter lead times. This, together with prices being benchmarked against Far Eastern products is forcing UK manufacturers to review their strategies. The Group is now in a better position to meet those challenges and has an unrivalled range of products and routes to market.

‘We are also investing heavily in automated plant and equipment and have recently opened a 15,000 sq. ft. distribution depot in Walsall.

Both Paddock and Millenco will be run as autonomous companies with no disruption or conflict to customers or the respective management teams.
