Bob Pagan is the new national officer for construction and contracting at m&e union Amicus.

Pagan takes over from Paul Corby who has taken voluntary redundancy.

Pagan will retain his current role as national officer for the plumbing sector. He will be joined in the m&e arena by lead officer Tom Hardacre, who has been standing in since Corby’s departure. Pagan and Hardacre will be instrumental in seeking to extend the industrial relations agreements struck at Heathrow Terminal 5 to other major projects around the country, including the 2012 Olympics.

As well as his extensive experience in the plumbing sector, Pagan has served on the electrical Joint Industry Board in recent years.
