Having a construction degree on its own is not a passport to instant success, and most graduates want a structured career path and the monetary status that a degree can provide in other professions.

However, the average employer will always want to promote and employ people with the ability and the experience first, rather than employing and taking a risk on a graduate whose ability and ‘people skills’ have not, as yet, been tested.

Considering the current shortage of graduates in the industry, unless you have the required experience to be of use to the average construction company, you will struggle to gain employment, however many letters you have after your name.
