Electricians have failed to register for Part P compliance because of a phobia of paperwork, according to the UK Trades Confederation (UKTC).
Derek Vaughan, managing director of UKTC, says: “Most self-employed electricians simply don’t have the time to fill out the forms. We speak to electricians everyday who have requested the information from the assessment bodies but who haven’t completed the forms.”
The UKTC has formed alliances with ELECSA and the NICEIC to give electricians a one-to-one session to offer guidance and support. For further information contact UKTC on 0800 018 4442 or e-mail: mail@uktc.org.
