Pelco has expanded its customer training facility at its UK head office in Wokingham, doubling the space now allocated to training resources.

The Video Security Institute is modelled on the original VSI facility at Pelco’s worldwide headquarters in California and features two formal training rooms covering 2,500 sq ft.

The main training area covers general CCTV products, and due to success of the previous training programmes, the facility will be expanded to include a second training room covering IP Networking. Included is a product demo room and cyber café.

Said Simon Nash, Pelco’s Technical Manager: “We see training as the cornerstone of Pelco’s success and it plays a pivotal role in the growth of our business in this country, reflecting the philosophy adopted by the company globally.”

A total of 13 courses are running all of which are free to customers. They include fully certified courses for companies installing Pelco equipment, run by Product Trainer, Bryan Edwards. The company trained more than 700 custom-ers last year and aim to train 800 during 2004.
