A boardroom reshuffle at support services group Jarvis has ended with the departure of one of the key figures responsible for getting the company back on its feet.
Henry Lafferty left his position as director earlier this month after more than seven years at the firm, first as finance director and more recently as head of accommodation.

Lafferty will leave the company at the end of the month and will be replaced by Jarvis' current legal and commercial director Andrew Sutton.

The split has been described as amicable by Jarvis and Lafferty — who helped chief executive Paris Moayedi to rescue the company from the brink of collapse. The group is now worth £650m.

The reshuffle also saw Kevin Hyde, formerly head of the company's infrastructure services division appointed chief operating officer — a newly created role.

Hyde has been appointed 'to ensure full delivery of the opportunities opening up in existing and related markets,' said Jarvis chairman Colin Skellet.

Tony Cunningham managing director of rail and road services business will succeed Hyde as director of the infrastructure services group.

Engineering and development director Bob Clarke will be seconded to the Tube Lines consortium, which is a third owned by Jarvis.
