Sir Michael Spicer, MP for West Worcestershire, opened the new Permadoor factory in Malvern on Friday 18th November.

The company has invested over one million pounds on completely refurbishing the 33,000ft premises and equipping it with the latest state of the art door-making machinery.

By moving workforce and production line to the new site from its old Tewkesbury factory, the company has significantly upped its capacity, and will now be able to produce over 80,000 doors per year for the social housing, DIY and builders' merchant markets.

Tim Roome, Permadoor's general manager, said: ‘Our new factory is a state-of-the-art production facility, equipped to meet our customers' demands now and well into the future.’

Since 1989, Permadoor has been working with local authorities, housing associations and builders’ merchants to supply low-maintenance exterior entrance doors. It now offers a range of high specification composite PVC-U and GRP doors, utilising high-quality fittings and security features.

As well as door manufacture, Permadoor offers a full partnering package including surveying and tenants' choice services to deliver value and satisfaction to both the client and the end-user in the commercial market.
