In the box a high-resolution photo panel shows a brick type in a standard bond pattern along with an actual plain brick slip – two if the brick is a multicolour or brindled.
The idea is to present products in their best light. Baggeridge says the traditional six/nine-brick sample is so heavy and cumbersome that shipping often leaves the brick slips cracked or displaced.
Lighter to despatch and so less prone to damage during transit, the presentation box is also easier to carry around. Clearly labelled on the outside, with the brick name on the spine, the boxes can be kept for reference.
Baggeridge has also gone live with its Archifacts website. The site contains 140 pages of reference material for contractors and engineers, including design detailing and technical considerations.
