It was with great interest that I read the article (BSj 02/05) about water-based heat pumps.
However, imagine my surprise when I read that the system was “pioneered in Holland”, when Versatemp systems and others of US manufacture, operating on exactly the same principles, have been used since the 1960s.
I will be very interested to see whether the interest in water source heat pumps increases now there is a need to consider low-energy solutions to building comfort requirements.
