Plastmo continues to bring product innovations to market, the latest being the Rollex top and side swing window, enhancements to the 70mm Index series and rolled in gasket option across the entire Plastmo range
Plastmo continues to bring product innovation to market with the introduction of three new developments.
The new ‘peace of mind’ Rollex window may look like a traditional top-hung window, but its 180 degree Peder Nielsen PN Uni hinge permits both top and side swing opening. Top swing opening allows easy external surface cleaning from the inside, making Rollex ideal for upper floor fitment. Its side swing capability converts the window into an efficient fire escape feature.
Balanced at every angle, the Rollex window has two safety restrictors, to lock it into eitherthe open or cleaning position. This provides automatic child restriction, with the window opening only 100mm to lock engagement. Fully compatible with other System Index doors and windows, Rollex comes with a 75mm outer frame, allows 24 or 28mm glazing and is particurlay easy to fabricate, using only two profiles. It has a manxium size of up to 1200mm wide and 1600mm high and is avaialable with an optional addtional gasket for extra weather protection.
Enhanced Index 70mm
The enhanced Plastmo 70mm Index series offers an attractive modern window and door system, combining classic-style detailing with latest production techniques. Kitemarked and BBA approved, System 70mm has an elegant slim appearance. Its 45° bevel dispels water and its internal / external gaskets contribute to its severe weather rating.
System 70mm features multi-chambered profile, permitting all designs in frame and sash; including internally or externally beaded windows and all door combinations. With a choice of outer frames, it features extra clearance for keeps; concealed or face drainage and accepts 45° Ovolo, Scotia, and low-line beads. It is extremely secure, with all mullions, sashes and frames reinforced where necessary, with galvanised steel or aluminium. A comprehensive range of hardware is accepted and it is available in white, golden oak or mahogany.
Rolled in gasket
Plastmo’s rolled in gasket is an innovative new system incorporating a pre-inserted EPDM gasket into the profile, during extrusion. This enables customers to reduce manufacture time, thus also reducing operational costs.
BBA and ISO certificated and made from top-standard EPDM materials, this innovation is now standard across the entire Plastmo profile range, including the new Charisma Vertical Slider. It seals better than competing systems, says the Plastmo, and firmly located within the profile grooves, the gasket’s cut ends compress to form a highly efficient butt point in window making. Hard spots at the corner are eliminated, allowing the gasket’s entire length to achieve a good seal against frame or glass for many years, without shrinkage.
The Plastmo Rolled in Gasket permits clearline glazing throughout, with neat attractive sight lines and consistent top-quality corners within window and door sealing areas.
