Plettac Security has formed a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition division.
It will provide plettac's newly-developed Optical Character Identification Systems for international licence plate recognition, secure access control, car parking and high speed applications.

Jon Hillier has joined the company to head the new division as UK and International Sales Manager.

Well known in the security and car parking industries, he has many years of international experience in the development of specialised security systems relating to ANPR.

Managing Director of the company, Peter Stubbs commented: "Over a period of time we were aware that there was a need for a completely focused system that would bring together ANPR with various other software modular applications to provide the end user with what he wants, not what the manufacturer thinks he wants.

"We started with just ANPR, but as the system developed we found that, as is common to most plettac products and systems, it had other capabilities for a much wider industry audience."
