A gem of advice came our way recently from an unexpected source. In an interview about project management, the gregarious CEO of McBains Cooper, Michael Thirkettle, stressed the need to “pick up the bloody phone!”

He continued: “It’s like being married. If you don’t tell the wife you’re going out for a beer and you turn up late and drunk, and your dinner’s going cold, you’re going to have problems.”

Perhaps the proudly multi-disciplinary firm could open a new line in marriage guidance.
