The Polycastle Panic Door presents a smooth slim appearance, yet behind the exterior, the frame and sash are fully reinforced with galvanised steel to specification, giving the product its rigidity to ensure lasting performance.
The multipoint locking mechanism has been developed to open with minimum effort being applied to the panic bar, for escape purposes. In the closed position, the cleverly-designed lock ensures a high level of security from the would-be intruder and complies with European Standard EN1125. Currently, the hardware used on the door is the only multipoint locking mechanism tested to this standard, claims the company, and it is available with an optional outside access handle. Available outward opening only, the door can accommodate a midrail, side screens together with a choice of safety glass units or panels.
There are various colours and woodgrain options, and a low threshold is available.
