Unitek Power Systems has introduced its range of UPS products to the UK market.
EGC Telecom Group subsidiary Unitek Power Systems has now launched its products into the UK market. The global manufacturer and distributor of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems expanded into the UK in response to an increased demand in 2004.
Unitek UK will offer a wide range of UPS, surge protectors, rechargeable batteries and chargers via a nationwide sales team serving its distributor and reseller network, plus key accounts. It will operate from a headquarters in Northampton.
The firm’s UPS range includes line-interactive versions with ratings from 500-3000 VA for small office and home use, plus online systems for applications up to 800 kVA for larger networked operations. The firm’s surge protectors provide constant filtering of interference and protection of unplugged devices against damage caused by transitory surges. Some of the smaller models include built-in battery chargers.
The parent group was founded in Miami in 1978, it launched in Europe in 1997 and and has grown to include logistics hubs in Hong Kong, the Netherlands, France and Spain. Worldwide business has grown in excess of 50% each year since 2000.
