Premiums up
Property insurance specialists say premiums will rise following the terrorist attacks.

Paul Feldman, of Alexander Forbes Risk Assessment's construction and commercial property section, said premiums will rise, 'but by how much is anyone's guess'.

Feldman said insurers' attitudes towards covering towers and premises near higher risk buildings are also liable to change.

Travel down
The use of videoconferencing is rising in the wake of the attacks.

Mick Dalton, director of facilities management and travel at Ernst & Young, said his company would increase the use of video conferencing.

In one website survey 36 per cent of respondents said that they had changed their business travel plans.
