Digital CCTV
Bosch Security Systems has added several new features to its already-popular DiBos family of DVR and transmission systems for CCTV surveillance that considerably enhance performance and ease of use.
Chief among the new features is the step up from JPEG to MPEG-4 compression technology that will yield enhanced image quality. At the same time it increases data storage efficiency, affording the end user substantial cost savings when it comes to archiving.
Other features added for the first time include the ability to combine legacy analogue technology with state-of-the-art digital networking, in tandem with a modified user interface and an improved configuration process.
The Pentaplex feature allows the connection of 62 cameras to one DiBos system, thereby offering maximum flexibility and scalability.
Five simultaneous modes are provided for the viewing of live images, the recording of images, search and viewing of recorded images, image transmission and download via local network or Internet and image export to external recording devices.
The DiBos system is available in two main versions. The 19” rack-mount version is for larger installations requiring up to 62 video channels (30 analogue and 32 network), anything up to 42 audio channels and 1,600 Gb internal storage capacity.
The Micro is a desktop unit for projects requiring up to 20 video channels (12 analogue and eight network), up to 12 audio channels and 400 Gb storage.
