The ECA’s updated logo has been introduced to reflect the growing scope of its members’ work across the spread of electrical engineering and building services.
The logo incorporates the ECA’s three circled roundel, first introduced in 1970. I like to think that this roundel symbolises the three qualities that distinguish ECA members – competence, accountability and commitment.

The first two are self evident and underpinned by the Association’s membership qualification and its warranty and bond schemes.

We now need to make it better known that it is the commitment of ECA members, through the Association’s work, which sustains the industry’s training and qualification schemes, its safe installation standards and equitable trading customs.

I believe that customers will support contracting businesses which are making this commitment for their ultimate benefit. I hope that ECA members will display the new logo as part of their corporate identity.
